I was long gone by then, out of state. I had seen signs of many issues and being so far away I pulled out what little money I had invested in the unofficial partnership. Tom was great about things like that, at least on the outside. He said, "cool, no prob man" and paid me on the spot. He started hanging with a much different crown, or so it appeared when I'd see him.
