AZT broke records in 87 as the fastest drug approval most people can remember and that took 20 months. I believe the standard time frame from conception to hitting pharmacies on most things is about 12 YEARS! Of course I'm sure a vaccine will get fast tracked in this case but we could still be years from that and if it's only as affective as the flu vaccine we will still have plenty to worry about even after that. It's going to be difficult for people to decide what they are comfortable with and what risks are acceptable in the next few months/years.
