Could be an option for some though.

@Mauricio Babilonia. Indeed! i had dairy roubaix on the site before, but had no updated info for 2012. Thanks!

@Ari: That is a Raptor 10. Might be a tad small for your purposes, but the very similar raptor 18 may be just right for ya. I use an Osprey on our Iowa missions but it seems to be a bit small for winter use. It does not have enough room for all the junk that I have to carry in case we do get stranded with a broken something. BTW we are riding this Sunday out of secret location. Shoot me an email if you are interested.
AriArihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13083766829086663770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12831567.post-30461643534431899392012-12-14T11:08:12.741-05:002012-12-14T11:08:12.741-05:00Seems like the Dairy Roubaix ought to qualify as a...Seems like the Dairy Roubaix ought to qualify as a gravel event. 2013 info on Facebook and likely also to come on the event website. April 20, 2013.

Did it last year and it was a blast. Maybe 70% gravel (a lot for Wisco) and Very Hilly. In rough or sketchy conditions, when riding hard or racing on gravel, riding one-handed and drinking from a bottle can be challenging (especially in a pack). It may even discourage hydration. Riding with a hydration pack makes that a bit easier--hands off the bar for a second to throw the hose in your mouth, and you're ready to go. I'm trying to find a blend between a small hydration pack (for use in sketchy areas) and bottles (to keep the weight on the bike, instead of my back).lawfarmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06429398289428440769noreply@blogger.com
