Happy New Year!

Hey ya'all! I want to wish everyone out there that reads Guitar Ted Productions a Happy and Prosperous 2015. I've appreciated each and every one of you spending time out of your day to read my ramblings over the past years.

2015 will be a big year for Guitar Ted Productions as I mark my tenth year of blogging here. Actually, I was introduced to all of this madness by Jeff Kerkove back in 2004 as he was the influence and encouragement to me to get on board with blogging. (So, ya know.......it's all his fault!) Anyway, I've been plugging along here for a while and I will be marking some highlights from the past as the year goes along that stand out for me.

There may be a new look too, as I mark ten years, I think it might be time to refresh the look here. There will be the same banter and maybe even more opinionated ranting, since I have a bit of a different gig going on these days. Whatever happens, I'll try to keep things at a high level here in recognition of how many of you are stopping by and reading on a regular basis, which I feel very responsible for and fortunate to have you coming here. I owe it to all of you.

Thanks and I look forward to 2015 and beyond.

  1. Thanks to you, Mark, and a happy New Year. I haven't kept track of how many years I've been reading GTP but I always look forward to reading "My Daily Ted" first thing in the morning. All the best for your New Year!

  3. Happy New Year, GT! Just wanted to let you know, your posts continue to be a daily must read for me, whether they be here, or on TNI or GGN (now RG, I know). I have always found them to be insightful, interesting and well written. I hope, with your latest adjustments, you are able to keep it rolling without losing out on your home life. As we all know and fully understand, family comes first.

  4. I enjoy your blog. I'm amazed at how much you post. And very timely! Even though I reside in New England , CT. I can relate.

  5. Congratulations on 10 years. I've been reading your blog daily for the past 4 years. You're a very good writer and I like the content ... particularly about your bikes and gear reviews. I presume you have a nine care garage for all the bikes ... I can't keep track of all of them. You should put up a picture of all of them in a group ... I'd find that interesting.

FYI ... I'm about your age, have a gray beard, have alot of bikes and like to tinker with them. I'm in central Illinois (about 100 or so miles from you) and waiting for the first snow ride of the year with my Pugsley.

Again, thanks for the blog ... I'm a big fan.

  6. Thanks everyone! I would have had your comments posted earlier, but I didn't get up today until 11:00am! Ha! A little too late in celebration mode last night. Thanks again- everyone. It's very humbling and a blessing to hear from all of you.

  7. I'd like 2 echo the sentiments. Reading your blog I was the first in my circle of mtn bike friends to ride a 29er - and now all of us do. Now we're riding plus size and fatbikes also. My daily Guitar Ted has been a blessing and bright spot every day. Happy new year from Idaho!

  10. @Angus150: Thanks for reading! I appreciate that.

@Ari: As you know- I respect and thank you and the SFCA always. Thanks for all you guys do.

@coastkid. Cheers! I don't know if I could survive such a New Year's celebration custom, but I am glad that you are back at it again. I very much enjoy checking on your site from time to time. The Rolls Royce Merlin engine sounds being one of my recent favorite posts of yours. Thanks!
