This is a 2012 Salsa Cycles Titanium Mukluk. It is a frame made by Lynskey which is a company from Tennessee, so this is a USA built titanium Salsa branded frame. There are several oddball specs to this, so here are the particulars:
- 170mm rear spacing, QR only axle fitment
- 135mm REAR DISC BRAKE STANDARD On One Carbon Fat Fork with a STRAIGHT 1 1/8th" steer tube.
- Frame ONLY ACCEPTS 1 1/8th straight steer tube forks.
- SPECIAL MACHINED LONG ALTERNATOR DROP OUTS: These were custom made to allow the bike to clear 29+ wheels. I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL DROP OUTS. QR ONLY.
- THIS IS THE ONLY 2012 Titanium Mukluk WITH NO PROVISION FOR A FRONT DERAILLEUR CABLE. (Note- You can mount one using a zip tie to affix the cable housing to the seat tube. )
- The bike is being offered as a complete with current 1X SRAM NX shifter, cassette, and rear derailleur. The crank is a Surly Mr. Whirly fitted with a Surly Narrow-Wide SRAM approved 28T stainless ring.
- Answer Carbon Bar, Answer Stem, Ergon cork grips, and Magura hydraulic brakes (The front hose has never been cut.)
- Cirrus Cycles TITANIUM Body Float suspension seat post
- Old Fyxation flats for pedals
- PURPLE King Head Set, Purple Salsa skewers.
- SALSA hubs. (NOT CONVERTIBLE TO THROUGH AXLE) Laced to Surly 80mm rims. Bud 4.8" tires front and rear, LOTS of life left in the tires. Saddle negotiable.
The bike is WELL USED but ready to ride. Titanium is a lifetime investment and the wear items have decent life left. But I am not really charging ANYTHING for the running gear. You are paying for the Frame, Wheel sets, post, and tires. The rest is a bonus.

Here is an oddball wheel set which you might need. It has Velocity QR ONLY hubs laced to a rear Velocity Blunt and front Velocity P-35. Standard stainless steel black straight gauge spokes and red alloy nipples. These are legacy Velocity rims from when they were manufactured in Australia. The analog rim to today would be the Blunt SS and Blunt 35.
Both rims are tubeless ready: The Blunt has a Bontrager Duster rim strip and the P-35 has a fresh run of yellow tubeless tape. Valves will come with the wheels with new valve cores installed.
The rims are silver painted and the hubs are standard Velocity 10 speed compatible hub/front QR hub. Again- THESE ARE NOT CONVERTIBLE. They are QR only!
They are used but could pass for new and have very few miles on them. In fact, I've never ridden them at all. I bought these from a co-worker who used them for a brief time, so super low miles on this set.

I do not know if this will fit anything else, but it fits the Xtra Small Muk PERFECTLY! Very rare bag to find and in PERFECT condition. This was on my son's first fat bike which he out grew.

Aluminum version here The axle to crown is 468mm, offset is 42mm, and it fits fat bike front hubs with a FRONT DISC BRAKE STANDARD mount. NOTE: Older Hope hubs, Salsa Enabler hubs and the like WILL NOT WORK without a separate brake adapter which you would have to source. ALSO NOTE: This is for a 135OLD FRONT HUB ONLY! This will not fit many current hubs in wheels which are interchangeable with a Bluto fork because those are spaced differently. QR attachment only. NO THROUGH AXLES! Clearance for up to a 4.9" fat bike tire (according to White Brothers) or a 29+ wheel and tire.
