Is that a puffball!! Be careful but, I've read those are a mycological delicacy.

picked, cleaned, fried and eaten....... I have bee watching the five of those puffballs for a few weeks now Gt. Just watching them grow. One was rotten but the other four were great. I left two of them on the truck of some cars at the south camp trailhead. John and Kat will love them. I cooked some today for the kids and one liked, the other didn't. Have you ever eaten them?
@Captain Bob: No, never have, although I do like mushrooms.
Glad you got to try those out. I saw 'em Wednesday and was amazed!
I saw one of them too for the first time. I was amazed. I thought it was an Alien Egg.
